Annie K. Benson, also known as Grandma Fulton, 96, of Fulton, passed away Friday, September 30, 2011, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. She was born February 10, 1915, in Fulton, the daughter of Squire Ephrum and Millie (Strickland) Keith. Annie was united in marriage to Doyle Brooks in 1936, who preceded her in death in 1953. She married Edward Kemna on June 5, 1958. He preceded her in death March 30, 1975. She married Donald Benson on October 4, 1984. He preceded her in death July 5, 1993. Annie was a member of the Eastern Star. She was an active member of the First Christian Church as long as her health allowed. Students at Bush Elementary School knew her as "Grandma Fulton". She is survived by one son, Bobby Brooks and wife Gwen of Oak Leaf, Texas; two grandsons, Jay Tennyson and wife Lou of Columbia, and Robby Brooks and wife Joni of Fulton; two granddaughters, Linda Watson and husband Dracy of Centralia, and Terri Jo McLin and husband Jerry of Red Oak, Texas; eight great-grandchildren, Addison Watson, Cameron Watson, Meagan Schaffner, Jericka Brooks, Jarrod Brooks, Chad McLin, Lindsay McLin, and Lauren McLin; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Delbert Keith of New Port, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren, and three step-great-great-grandchildren, all from Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; one daughter, Betty Ann Wilt; nine brothers, and one sister. Funeral services will be held at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 3 with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
