Thomas (Tom) Michael McFarlane

Thomas (Tom) Michael McFarlane, 56, of Mokane, passed away Friday, November 25, 2011, at his home. He was born August 22, 1955, in Pontiac, Illinois, the son of the late Charles R. McFarlane Jr., and Mary Lou (Guest) Ericsson of Rogers, Arkansas. On September 4, 1987, he was united in marriage to Alice (Street) McFarlane, who survives at their home. Tom enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was an active member of his community. He was a Mokane City Councilman for six years and had served on the South Callaway Volunteer Fire Department and the Mokane Water Board. Tom worked in construction as a pipefitter all of his life, working numerous jobs in and out of the state of Missouri, including the construction of the Callaway Nuclear Plant. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and his mother; two sons, Matthew (Lacy) McFarlane of Mokane and Michael (Alissa) McFarlane of Gillette, Wyoming; two daughters, Kristi (Travis) McFarlane of Auburn, Washington and Michele (Jesse) Sebacher of Steedman; four grandchildren, Elise and Ian Sebacher of Steedman, and Meredith and Mikey McFarlane of Gillette, Wyoming; one brother, Scott (Robbie) McFarlane of Lowell, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. His father and step-father, Jack Ericsson, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Reverend Jerry London officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be held at Mokane Cemetery.
