Carroll Levon Cleveland, 85, of Fulton, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011. He was born April 13, 1926, in Mokane, the son of the late Ora and Catherine "Kate" (Case) Cleveland. On December 23, 1944, he was united in marriage to Lois Dean (Millard) Cleveland and she preceded him in death on July 13, 1990. On May 13, 1995, he was united in marriage to Loretta (McCray) Cleveland, who survives at their home. Carroll served our country in the United States Navy in World War II. He retired from Danuser Machine Company after 44 years of dedicated service retiring as a Fabricating/Wel-ding Supervisor. At the age of 16, he started working for Maupin Funeral Home. He remained there for 69 years and was a very loyal and devoted employee. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Fulton, and served on the church board, Fulton Masonic Lodge #48, The Little Dixie Shrine of Mexico, Centralia Council #34 of Columbia, Crusade Commandery #23 of Mexico, Mexico Chapter #27, Moolah Shrine, American Legion Post 1000 of Jefferson City, and Missouri Funeral Director's 5th District Association. He enjoyed golfing, family and sitting on the deck. In addition to his wife of 16 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Judy (Gary) Nosek of Laguna, Calif. and Cathy Cleveland of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Jeff (Linda) Benham and Laura (Greg) Sarconi; five great- grandchildren; four stepsons, Jaime (Pam) Oestreich, Joe (Ann) Oestreich, Scott (Sulea) Oestreich and John (Patti) Oestreich; one step-daughter, Lori (Tony) Quick; 12 step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. His parents, eight brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Reverend Ed Varnum officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the SERVE Food Pantry or to the American Heart Association, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
