Frank Alonzo Kimbell, 93, of Fulton, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab. He was born August 13, 1917, in Callaway County, the son of Frank Alonzo and Clara Jo (Fischer) Kimbell. Frank was united in marriage to Helen Vaughn on June 29, 1937, in St. Louis County. She preceded him in death in 2009. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a self-employed contractor for many years. He was an avid fisherman and a member of White Cloud Presbyterian Church. Left to cherish his memory is one son, Alfred "Pete" Kimbell and his wife Martha J.; two daughters-in-law, Patricia Kimbell and Annette Kimbell, both of Fulton; four grandchildren, Kevin A. Kimbell and wife Rhonda of Fulton, Kelly Mae Hodson and husband Ken of Lake St. Louis, James E. Kimbell and wife Robbin of Fulton, and John M. Kimbell and wife Karen of Sanger, Texas; six great- grandchildren, Cassandra L. Kimbell, Cody L. Kimbell, Monica Noel Hodson, Kyle Dean Hodson, James T. Kimbell, and Ashley E. Kimbell; one sister, Agnes Craghead; and several nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and parents, Frank was preceded in death by one son, John W. Kimbell in 2004, two brothers and six sisters. Funeral services will be held at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, with his grandson, Reverend James Kimbell, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at White Cloud Cemetery.
