Jay Elroy Bass, 46, of Fulton, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at his home. He was born January 30, 1965, in Bridgeton, the son of Harry and Joanne (Green) Bass. On December 17, 1994, he was united in marriage to Kim (Valle) Bass and they were remarried on June 4, 2011. She survives at their home. Jay worked for Metso Minerals in Warrenton as a production worker. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton, where he was a member of the Awana Club and the Easter Pageant. He was an active member of the Royal Ambassador Association. He enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinals, the television show- Doctor Who, telling stories, working and trivia. He was always willing to volunteer his time when people were in need. His children were his life. In addition to his wife and mother, Joanne Bass of Warrenton, he will be sadly missed and lovingly re- membered by two daughters, Kalie Bass and Kassie Bass, both of Fulton; five brothers, Mike Bass of the state of California, Harry Bass Jr. and his wife Amy of Warren- ton, John Bass and his wife Rhonda of Warrenton, Bill Bass of Truesdale and Matt Bass and his wife Theresa of Montgomery City; two sisters, Connie Wilson of Warrenton and Candy Bass of the state of Louisiana; many nieces and nephews. His father and sister, Peggy Bass, preceded him in death. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at the First Baptist Church in Fulton.
