Blaze (Biljakovich) Fornoff, of Fulton, Mo., passed away Tuesday, February 12, 1927, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, surrounded by his family. He was born in Pekin, Ill. on February 12, 1927, to Blaze and Julia Biljakovich. His father passed away and he was adopted by Lawrence Henry Fornoff, who had married his mother. He served his country in World War II, joining the Navy at age 16 with several of his cousins. After the war, he married Martha Louise Roberson. They later divorced and he married Emily Mae Broers. Blaze worked at various jobs early in his career but eventually worked for Kaufman and Sons in Morton, Ill., where he was a brick mason. He is survived by son L. Blaze (Sherry) Fornoff of Fulton, Mo.; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Thornberry of Tulsa, Okla.; son, Jack Christensen of New Port Richey, Fla.; son, Tracy (Angie) Fornoff of Pekin, Ill.; grandson, Mike (Beata) Gibson of Palm Desert, Calif.; granddaughters, Kali Blayze and Kierstyn Fornoff of Fulton; grandson and granddaughter, Blaze Lee and Sabrina Fornoff of Pekin, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister, son, and wife of 46 years. Cremation will be accorded. There will be no visitation or services per his request.
