Perry Wayne Palmer

Perry Wayne Palmer, 60, of Holts Summit, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011, at his home. He was born January 13, 1951, in Birmingham, Alabama, a son of the late James I. and Evelyn A. (Baker) Palmer. On December 17, 1972, Perry was united in marriage to Brenda J. Biggerstaff, who survives at their home. Perry worked as Supervisor at the Fulton State Hospital from March 1, 1987 until his retirement on March 1, 2009. He attended Faith Baptist Church in Holts Summit. Perry enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to the beach, and being in the outdoors. Along with his wife Brenda, Perry is also survived by two daughters, Shanon Johnson (husband Chris) of Jefferson City and Deana Palmer of Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Montanna Schanuth, Summer Schanuth, Kyle Johnson; and one brother, Don Palmer of Oneonta, Alabama. Friends will be received from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit. A Candlelight Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Bill Dillon officiating.
