Eugene A. Hall, 90, of Fulton, Mo., passed away Monday December 5, 2011, at Callaway Community Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1921, the son of the late Burnett A. Hall and Ora (Simms) Hall. On January 5, 1941, he was united in marriage to Mildred D. (Hayden) Hall, who preceded him in death on February 18, 2001. Eugene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fulton, Mo. He was a World War II veteran and served at Guadalcanal and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals. In addition to his wife, Eugene will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sons, Roddy A. Hall and wife, Sherin of Austin, Texas, Roland Scott Hall and wife, Sun Ha of Waipahu, Hawaii, and Rick Boaz Hall of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Kay Van Alstyne and husband, Harold of Pacific, Mo. and Darla Douglas of Fulton, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, Nicole Van Alstyne, Noelle Van Alstyne, Merideth Hall Myers, Tye Hall, Jack Hall, Judy Hall, Becky Hall, Renee Ward, Kathryn Douglas, Jonathan Douglas, and Jason Hall; one brother, Bill Hall and wife, Rhonda of Illinois; one sister, Martha DeJarnatt and husband, Leon of Bardwell, Ky.; and one sister-in-law, Sandy Hall of Ohio. In addition to his parents and wife, Eugene was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Hall, one grandson, Justin Hall; and one son-in-law, Mark K. Douglas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Fulton, Mo., with Pastor Gary Shultz officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. on Thursday until the time of the service. Interment service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Mo.
