Esten E. Gray, 81, of Fulton, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico. He was born October 25, 1929, in Capron, Oklahoma, the son of the late Earl Elmer and Mammie (Mitchell) Gray. On November 5, 1960, he was united in marriage to Beverly (Haynie) Gray, who survives at their home. Esten served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He worked for Oak Tree Realty. Esten retired from the Fulton State Hospital as a Security Officer in 1991. He was a member of the Fulton VFW 2657 and Missouri Board of Realtors. In addition to his wife of 50 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four sons, Eric Gray and his wife Heather of Jefferson City, Paul Gray, Todd Gray and his wife Stacy and Tracy Gray and his wife Dena, all of Fulton; one daughter, Terry Luebbert and her husband David of Fulton; nine grandchildren; one brother, Armond Gray; and four sisters, Eula Eggars, Leora Holland, Etha Benson and Paula Hessler. His parents; one brother, Ovid Gray; and one sister, Lovetra Harrington preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, with Pastor Bill Nigus officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery.
