Missouri releases men's basketball SEC schedule

The Missouri men's basketball program released its Southeastern Conference schedule for the 2016-17 season Tuesday.

Notable SEC games at Mizzou Arena include Arkansas (Feb. 4), Kentucky (Feb. 21) and Texas A&M (Feb. 28). Missouri also travels to Florida on Feb. 2, and plays the road half of its home-and-home series with Arkansas on Jan. 14, and Texas A&M on Feb. 8.

"The most exciting part of unveiling the 2017 Southeastern Conference schedule is seeing the number of opportunities that our young team will have to play in front of our outstanding Mizzou fans," coach Kim Anderson said in a statement. "The SEC never gets any easier, but it's a challenge we're looking forward to facing with this squad. Making Mizzou Arena one of the best possible environments for basketball starts with us, so we'll be working as hard as we can every possible day until the season gets here."

Missouri has its first home game in an exhibition against Central Missouri on Nov. 4, and officially begins the season Nov. 13 against Alabama A&M.
