WASHINGTON (AP) - Robbie Keane returned from knee surgery to score two goals, Gyasi Zardes had two assists and the Los Angeles Galaxy beat the New England Revolution 4-2 on Sunday.

Los Angeles (5-1-3) extended its undefeated streak to seven games. New England (1-3-7) pushed its winless stretch to six games.

The Galaxy went up 1-0 after Zardes' cross found a wide open Keane at the far post for an easy tap in. The duo made it 3-0 in the first minute of first-half stoppage time. Once again, Zardes used individual skill to draw defenders and found Keane freed up in front of goal.

Giovani dos Santos scored Los Angeles' second goal in the 24th minute on a volley from distance.

New England rallied in the second half. Kelyn Rowe's left-footed shot from outside the 18-yard box put the Revolution on the board in the 67th minute. Three minutes later, Juan Agudelo turned on a shot in front of goal to make it 3-2. Los Angeles iced it on Steven Gerrard's goal in 93rd minute.

NEW YORK CITY FC 2, D.C. UNITED 0

David Villa scored his seventh goal in 10 games, Khiry Shelton added another and New York City beat D.C. United.

Villa is tied with Portland's Fanendo Adi and San Jose's Chris Wondolowski for the MLS scoring lead.

In the 49th minute, Thomas McNamara flicked Shelton's cross and Villa powered a shot off the hands of goalkeeper Travis Worra. Four minutes later, Shelton jumped between two defenders and redirected Ronald Matarrita's cross for a 2-0 advantage.

New York City (3-3-4) has won two straight after a seven-game winless run.

D.C. United (2-4-4) had its best scoring chance in the 61st minute when Marcelo Sarvas' free kick from just outside the penalty area deflected off the post. United was without forward Fabian Espindola, who is tied for the team lead in goals.
