North Callaway junior Kaleigh Moore took second in 21 minutes, 12.13 seconds in the varsity girls' division to steer the Ladybirds cross country team to a sixth-place team finish at the Fulton Invitational on Saturday.
Fulton junior Kayanna Gaines followed in eighth in 21:56.24 as the host Lady Hornets were 11th as a team.
In the varsity boys' division, Fulton sophomore Shaun Wolfe came in 20th in 18:51.19 to direct the Hornets to an eighth-place team finish. North Callaway junior Grant Eichman was 50th in 20:17.81 as the Thunderbirds placed 13th overall.
Senior River Nolting took 43rd in 24:44.16 as the North Callaway girls tallied 165 points. Sophomore Rachael Jeffries finished 47th in 24:59.05, junior Makenna Allen placed 50th in 25:06.25, and senior Daelyn Schmauch was 52nd in 25:14.32.
Freshman Taylor Hickerson came in 32nd in 23:53.63 as the Fulton girls logged 244 points. Senior Caitlin Sievert took 61st in 26:04.83, junior Anna Lowry finished 91st in 28:49.08, and freshman Jonna Vanzetti placed 92nd in 28:52.22.
Sophomore Alexander Noel was 49th in 20:12.35 as the Fulton boys recorded 225 points. Junior Isaac Avery came in 55th in 20:24.49, freshman Dennis McGregory took 67th in 20:57.35, and sophomore Jacob Barnes finished 74th in 21:12.40.
Junior Joseph Crawford placed 85th in 21:38.69 as the North Callaway boys accumulated 359 points. Sophomore David Baires was 88th in 21:43.48, freshman Brendan Reinhard came in 98th in 22:15.97, and junior Noah Scrogum took 99th in 22:18.43.
Helias and Fatima secured the boys' and girls' team championships with 36 and 74 points, respectively. Helias senior Jack Crull won the boys' individual title in 16:30.44 and Centralia freshman Jozelynn Bostick captured the girls' individual championship in 20:55.11.
Fulton and North Callaway both run in the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia at 9 a.m. next Saturday.
