Second baseman Karlie Schoening had three hits and drove in two runs as the host Lady Hornets suffered their first loss of the season Thursday night.
Schoening finished 3-for-3 with two doubles and scored two runs as FMS fell to 2-1 on the season. Center fielder Raquel Lozano was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored, while shortstop Reagan Echelmeier went 3-for-4 and scored three times.
The Lady Hornets play in the Kirksville Tournament on Saturday. FMS squares off against Highland at 10:30 a.m. and Clark County at noon.
