MONTGOMERY CITY - Senior Paden Lewis qualified in two events and sophomore Kaleigh Moore advanced in one to the Class 3 state championships for North Callaway during the Sectional 2 championships Saturday.
Lewis won the boys' shot put with a throw of 54 feet, 6 1/2 inches and took third in the discus at 139-4. Moore came in third in the girls' 3,200 meters in 12 minutes, 53.45 seconds.
The top four sectional finishers in each event move on to the state championships, which begin Friday at Jefferson City High School's Adkins Stadium.
