RUSSELLVILLE - The Lady Wildcats were outscored 23-11 by the Lady Indians in the second quarter of Friday night's Show-Me Conference loss.

New Bloomfield (8-8, 1-3 SMC) only trailed 16-14 after one quarter, but Russellville used its second-quarter outburst to take a 39-25 advantage into halftime. The Lady Wildcats outscored the Lady Indians 10-6 in the third quarter to close the gap to 45-35, but couldn't finish the rally.

Senior center Samantha Haas posted a double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds to pace New Bloomfield.

"We had a plague of turnovers in the second quarter," Lady Wildcats head coach Brett Craighead said. "We just made some silly mistakes."

New Bloomfield (3-1) easily prevailed in the junior varsity contest 50-27. Freshman guards Asya Nichols and Kamryn Herron logged 18 and 13 points, respectively.
