Boys' basketball: Missouri School for Deaf 66, Calvary Lutheran (JV) 39

Sophomore guard Jayden Riordan responded with a game-high 20 points to direct four players in double figures as the host Eagles throttled the Lions on Tuesday night.

MSD (11-10) built a 31-22 halftime edge and then pulled away by outscoring Calvary Lutheran 35-17 in the second half.

Riordan also had eight assists, six steals and six rebounds, while junior center Mikal Meriwether supplied a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles. Junior guard Damar Washington and sophomore guard Hezeki Smoot added 11 points apiece.

Will Struthman topped the Lions with 13 points.

MSD hosts the Missouri Military Academy to finish the regular season at 6 p.m. Thursday. The Eagles bowed to the Colonels 52-25 on Jan. 24 in Mexico.
