Cross country: Ladybirds' Moore comes in third at Bowling Green Invite

Wildcats' Distler finishes seventh

BOWLING GREEN - North Callaway sophomore Kaleigh Moore was third in the girls' varsity division in 20 minutes, 2.12 seconds to spur the Ladybirds cross country team to a sixth-place finish at the Bowling Green Invitational on Friday.

Fulton sophomore Kayanna Gaines took 16th in 21:43.42 as the Lady Hornets were eighth. New Bloomfield freshman Mikaela Lemelin came in 28th in 22:29.56 to guide the Lady Wildcats to a ninth-place finish.

In the boys' varsity division, New Bloomfield sophomore Caleb Distler was seventh in 17:45.50 as the Wildcats placed 13th as a team. Fulton senior Brock Fisher took 12th in 18:01.98 to pace the Hornets to an eighth-place finish.

North Callaway senior Khobi Kellerman came in 22nd in 18:20.53 as the Thunderbirds finished 11th overall.

Sophomore Makenna Allen was 29th in 22:31.37 as the North Callaway girls accumulated 160 points. Junior River Nolting took 35th in 22:47.35, sophomore Olivia Isaacks placed 68th in 24:22.34, and sophomore Julisa Moreno came in 76th in 24:55.42.

Junior Caitlin Sievert finished 44th in 23:22.65 as the Fulton girls logged 198 points. Freshman Madison Dyro was 46th in 23:23.78, sophomore Lilia Secundino-Morales took 71st in 24:38.34, and sophomore Anna Lowry placed 83rd in 25:27.02.

Freshman Jillian Pry came in 42nd in 23:18.05 as the New Bloomfield girls posted 204 points. Junior Kylie Quinn was 54th in 23:53.56, senior Macy Puckett took 67th in 24:21.44, and freshman Abby Baxter finished 78th in 25:01.82.

Senior Zach Schwinke placed 28th in 18:24.20 as the Fulton boys tallied 220 points. Freshman Alexander Noel came in 39th in 18:46.82, freshman Shaun Wolfe was 41st in 18:48.24, and sophomore Jacob O'Neal took 106th in 20:25.17.

Senior Ean Rohrbach was 59th in 19:16.28 as the North Callaway boys recorded 307 points. Freshman Jude Greene placed 74th in 19:35.25, sophomore Grant Eichman came in 79th in 19:43.81, and sophomore Noah Scrogum finished 80th in 19:45.28.

Freshman Nathan Hinrichs took 29th in 18:25.16 as the New Bloomfield boys amassed 347 points. Senior Aliczander Nikonowicz was 87 in 19:52.34, junior Wil Steele placed 104th in 20:17.16, and sophomore Gabriel Browning came in 150th in 22:17.88.

Father Tolton and California collected the girls' and boys' team titles with 82 and 86 points, respectively.

In the mixed junior varsity division, senior Clayton Prettyman took sixth in 20:34.66 as the Fulton boys finished second with 47 points. Senior Aaron Eliuk was eighth in 21:00.63, freshman Joshua Bonnel came in ninth in 21:01.04, senior Bud Wood placed 13th in 21:43.81, and freshman Landon Johnston took 17th in 21:54.43.

Fulton and North Callaway return to Bowling Green for the Class 3, District 5 and Class 2, District 3 championships, respectively, next Saturday. New Bloomfield runs in the Class 2, District 4 championships at Hermitage.
