AUXVASSE — Tayber Gray tallied 10 points as the Bulldogs turned back the Thunderbirds for their first win of the season Tuesday afternoon.

Jonathan Thomas contributed eight points for South Callaway Middle School (1-2).

Trenton Jones paced North Callaway with a game-high 12 points.

In the "B" contest, Kyle Pennell delivered a game-high 24 points to direct the Thunderbirds to a 34-20 victory over the Bulldogs.

Beau Powers topped SCMS (0-3) with nine points.

The Bulldogs travel to Fulton Middle School at 6 tonight.

The Thunderbirds play in both the Community R-6 eighth-grade and Southern Boone seventh-grade tournaments next week.
