Wrestling: Hornets come in fourth at St. Charles Invitational

ST. CHARLES - Senior Jacob Kern and freshman Sam Hrabovsky locked up individual titles at 132 and 113 pounds, respectively, as the Fulton Hornets wrestling team took fourth place at the St. Charles Invitational on Saturday.

Senior Colton Bristol and sophomore Jackson Caswell earned second-place finishes at 182 and 106 pounds, respectively, as Fulton accumulated 134.5 points. Senior Tucker Caswell also came in third at 138 pounds for the Hornets.

Kern - going 3-0 - pinned St. Charles' Alex Clutter in 5 minutes, 44 seconds in the championship at 132 pounds. Hrabovsky, also finishing 3-0, scored a narrow 1-0 decision over St. Charles' Ben Bohr in the title match at 113 pounds.

Bristol - compiling a 3-1 tournament mark - was pinned by Ft. Zumwalt North's Cameron Pickering in just :42 for the championship at 182 pounds. Jackson Caswell, finishing 2-1, bowed in a 12-4 major decision to Ladue's Jake Mann in the title match at 106 pounds.

Tucker Caswell - posting a 3-1 tournament record - tallied a 17-2 technical fall over Brentwood's Chase Lynch in the third-place match at 138 pounds.

Ft. Zumwalt captured the team title with 212 points, while Mexico was second with 182.5. St. Charles followed in third place with 173 points.

Fulton travels to St. Charles West for a triangular with the host Warriors and North Central Missouri Conference rival Mexico at 5 p.m. Thursday.
