Boys' basketball: Arkansas School for Deaf 42, Missouri School for Deaf 37

OLATHE, Kan. - The Eagles could not overcome a 27-21 halftime deficit in falling to the Leopards in the consolation semifinals of the 29th-annual Great Plains Schools for the Deaf Tournament on Friday morning.

Senior point guard Dacota Pierson logged a game-high 22 points for MSD (2-15). Sophomore center Mikal Meriwether supplied a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Shaq Robinson led Arkansas with 20 points.

The Eagles squared off against Iowa School for the Deaf in the seventh-place game Saturday morning. Results were not available at press time.
