WARDSVILLE — The Lady Hornets had their two-game winning streak throttled in Monday night's rampage by the Lady Falcons.
Fulton (2-2) found itself down 23-7 after one quarter and 44-11 at halftime. The Lady Hornets trailed 59-22 to open the fourth quarter.

"We came into Blair Oaks flat," Lady Hornets head coach TJ Quick said. "They were able to get a big lead quickly on us. I think it took us back a little bit — we were unable to adjust in the first half.
"We were able to regroup and come out in the second half with a little more fight."
Fulton's junior varsity dropped its season opener to the Lady Falcons 61-17. Sophomore forward Sydney Hedgpath provided seven points and five rebounds, while freshman forward Alex Trowbridge finished with four points and four rebounds.
The Lady Hornets (1-2) bowed in the freshman contest 43-10. Guards Emily Clark and Kyela Macon each scored three points.
Fulton plays both its home and North Central Missouri Conference opener against Marshall at 6 p.m. Thursday at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.
