KIRKSVILLE - The Lady Hornets ended the season at 2-20 overall and 1-11 in the North Central Missouri Conference after Friday night's shutout loss to the Lady Tigers.
Fulton was coming off a 10-1 NCMC home loss to Moberly last Wednesday night. Freshman midfielder Anna Lowry tallied the Lady Hornets' only goal off an assist from senior midfielder Hailie Acton.
Fulton hosts the Class 2, District 9 Tournament and is the fourth seed. The Lady Hornets face top-seeded Southern Boone in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Monday.
Fulton was shut out at home by Southern Boone 9-0 on March 20.
No. 2 seed St. James clashes with No. 3 Osage in the other District 9 semifinal at 7 p.m. Monday.
