Long, Lady Hornets soccer team earn first NCMC win

Fulton junior striker Stephanie Long was responsible for both goals as the Lady Hornets soccer team logged its first NCMC victory of the season by shutting out Moberly 2-0 at the high school athletic complex Tuesday night.

Fulton - coming off a 7-0 conference loss at Marshall on Monday night - improved to 2-8 on the season and 1-3 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

Long scored off assists from senior midfielder Hailie Acton and freshman midfielder Anna Lowry.

Junior goalkeeper Rileigh Huffman was credited with the shutout for the Lady Hornets.

Fulton hosts an NCMC makeup game against Kirksville at 5 p.m. today.
