Cross Country: Moore, North Callaway girls take title at Centralia Invite

CENTRALIA, Mo. - Freshman Kaleigh Moore secured the individual championship in 20 minutes, 12.60 seconds to spur the North Callaway Ladybirds to the team title at the Centralia Invitational on Tuesday.

In the boys' division, junior Khobi Kellerman medalled with a 12th-place time of 19:01.06 as North Callaway finished 10th overall.

Moore was one of four runners to medal for the North Callaway girls, who captured their third straight team championship and sixth of the season. Sophomore Daelyn Schmauch followed in second place in 20:20.59, senior Kyla Bertschinger took fifth in 21:05.62 and senior Reyna Schmauch was sixth in 21:11.58.

Freshman Olivia Isaacks also placed 28th for the Ladybirds in 24:59.58.

Also placing for the Thunderbirds were junior Ean Rohrbach, 48th in 21:12.88; junior Josh McCowan, 55th in 21:31.99; junior Josh Craghead, 65th in 22:34.12, and freshman Grant Eichman, 73rd in 23:12.86.

Medalling for North Callaway in the mixed junior varsity race on the girls' side was sophomore Brianna Douglas, who came in second in 24:58.21. Junior Christa Gilman finished 10th in 29:00.52.

Freshman Noah Scrogum took 16th in 23:11.33 for the Thunderbirds and junior Justin Coffman placed 30th in 24:54.65.

North Callaway competes in the Eastern Missouri Conference championships Saturday at Bowling Green.
