WAYNESVILLE - The Bulldogs opened their regular season emphatically with a commanding victory over the Bears on Saturday in the Frisco League-Show-Me Conference Showdown.
South Callaway narrowly led 18-16 after the first quarter, but extended its lead to nine with a 26-point outburst in the second quarter.
After limiting Richland to just six points in the third quarter, the Bulldogs were firmly in control 55-39 and wouldn't relent for the remainder of the contest.
Senior guard Landon Clark led South Callaway with 20 points, senior guard Kaden Helsel added 17 and junior guard Treysen Gray chipped in 15.
The Bulldogs travel to Van-Far at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28.
