MOKANE, Mo. - Jasper Rees connected for 22 points to steer the South Callaway Bulldogs to a season-opening victory over the Russellville Indians on Tuesday night.
Trace Helsel, Trynnen Gray and Bishop Fisher added six points apiece for SCMS.
The Bulldogs suffered a narrow 32-31 loss in the "B" contest. Jonathan Thomas topped SCMS with 10 points, Kyle Dickinson followed with eight and Trevor Wilson contributed seven.
The Bulldogs play at North Callaway at noon next Tuesday.
