Girls' Basketball: Battle 62, Fulton 16

CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The Fulton Lady Hornets' losing streak extended to eight games after they fell to the Battle Lady Spartans in the fifth-place game of the 23rd-annual California Tournament on Thursday night.

"We talked about having the will to win," Fulton head coach TJ Quick said. "As Fulton Lady Hornets, we have to say enough is enough, and what better turning point than now."

Sophomore guard Haden Trowbridge led Fulton (1-10) with seven points.

The Lady Hornets host a non-conference game against Eldon at 6 p.m. Monday at Roger D. Davis Gymnasium.

"We have two home games this week and we want to come out with a 'I've had enough' mentality," Quick said. "We want to come out this week in front of our home crowd and get after it."
