Boys' Basketball: Chamois 49, South Callaway 45

MOKANE, Mo. - Aaron Brandt connected for a game-high 34 points as the Chamois Pirates sent the South Callaway Bulldogs to their fourth straight loss in Tuesday night's Show-Me Conference setback.

South Callaway was only down 13-11 after one quarter and 27-26 at halftime, but Chamois outscored the Bulldogs 14-6 in the third quarter to stretch its lead to 41-32. South Callaway outscored the Pirates 13-8 in the fourth quarter, but was unable to pull off the comeback.

Senior guard Blake Parker ended up with 19 points as the only player to make it into double figures for the Bulldogs (1-7, 1-1 SMC). Junior guard Kaden Helsel and sophomore guard Treysen Gray followed with nine points apiece.

Kyle Bockling chipped in with 10 points for Chamois.

South Callaway plays a non-conference matchup at Hermann at 6 p.m. Friday.
