MADISON, Mo. - The No. 7 seed MSD Eagles were eliminated from the Class 1, District 10 Tournament after they fell to the No. 2 Tigers in a first-round game Monday at Madison High School.
Wellsville (16-9) led 26-18 after the first quarter and controlled a 62-31 advantage at halftime. MSD (13-7) outscored the Tigers 22-17 in the third period, but trailed 79-43.
Senior forward Scotty Percy led the Eagles with a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds. Senior point guard Ste'Quan Scott produced 19 points and seven rebounds, while senior guard Marcus Smith scored 12 points and recorded a team-high four steals.
Seth Oliver paced the Tigers with 18 points.
