LEXINGTON, Mo. - Senior forward Scotty Percy led the MSD Eagles with a game-high 20 points to help them end their regular season with a victory over the WMA Red Dragons on Thursday night.
Missouri School for the Deaf (13-6) led 20-9 after the first quarter and carried a 29-19 edge into the break. The Eagles outscored Wentworth Military Academy 16-11 in the third quarter to maintain a 45-30 lead.
Senior point guard Ste'Quan Scott also supplied 14 points for the Eagles. Senior guard Marcus Smith produced 12 points and a team-high six steals, while Percy grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
The Eagles will be the No. 7 seed in this week's Class 1, District 10 Tournament at Madison High School. MSD plays No. 2 seed Wellsville in a first-round game at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
