Junior high volleyball: Mexico 2, Fulton Middle School 1

MEXICO - The Lady Hornets slipped to 2-4 on the season after a 25-8, 19-25 and 15-10 loss to the Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday night.

Eighth-grade outside hitter Mariah Reed guided FMS with four kills, six digs and five perfect passes. Eighth-grade outside hitter Mackenzie Wilson provided two kills, two digs and two aces, while seventh-grade setter Emily Elias had four assists, one kill and one dig.

The Lady Hornets (3-9-2) also bowed in the "B" match 25-18 and 25-20. Seventh-grade outside hitter Peyton Moore recorded three aces, while seventh-grade defensive specialist Brooklyn Maddox and seventh-grade libero Justice Vardemann both contributed two perfect passes.

FMS plays its last home matches of the season against Chester Boren Middle School at 5:30 p.m. today.
