Cross Country: New Bloomfield boys take fourth at Salisbury Invite

SALISBURY, Mo. - The New Bloomfield Wildcats scored 99 points to earn fourth place at the Salisbury Invitational on Monday.

Russellville won the meet with 38 points and Riley Gorham from Hardin-Central was victorious in the individual with a time of 17 minutes, 32 seconds.

New Bloomfield sophomore Robert Morningstar earned 11th place in 19:44, while junior Kyle Emerson took 12th in 19:48 and senior Zain Culwell was 13th in 19:51. Freshman Wil Steele placed 38th in 21:13 and junior Jacob Eickhorst was 51st in 22:04.

In the girls' division, New Bloomfield did not record a team score and Father Tolton won with 41 points. Alex Newkirk from Southern Boone won the individual in 21:21.

Lady Wildcats junior Kassi O'Dowd was 14th in 25:23 and freshman Kylie Quinn was 31st in 28:45.

New Bloomfield competes in the Bowling Green Invitational at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
