Tennis: Fulton's Windsor, Adams capture all-NCMC honors

HANNIBAL, Mo. - Sophomore Haydon Windsor and junior Justin Adams took third place at Nos. 1 and 3 singles, respectively, for the Hornets at the North Central Missouri Conference championships last Friday.

Windsor and Adams both posted 2-1 records.

"It's always a big deal, especially since this is such a competitive conference and it's not an easy spot to get," Fulton head coach Rob Fisher said of the duo's all-NCMC status. "I thought they both played really well."

The Hornets finished sixth overall with 25 points. Marshall secured the conference team title with 58 points.

Fulton is the No. 3 seed for the Class 1, District 8 Tournament at Helias in Jefferson City and will square off against the host and No. 2 Crusaders in the semifinals at 3:30 p.m. today. The Hornets bowed to Helias 8-1 on May 3 in Fulton.

"I think we're capable of beating them; we played a lot of close matches the last time," Fisher said. "The key is learning from those and making some adjustments."
