FAYETTE - The William Woods Lady Owls tumbled to 1-5 on the season after a decisive loss to the Central Methodist Lady Eagles on Saturday night.
Senior forward Taylor LePage delivered William Woods' lone goal off an assist by junior forward Aurora Henriksen in the 85th minute.
The Lady Owls were easily outshot 23-5, including 15-5 in shots on goal. Central Methodist also owned a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.
William Woods opens American Midwest Conference play at home against Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) at 5 p.m. today at Firley Field.
