MARSHALL - Junior Logan Smith came in second individually with an 8-under par 136 score (70-66) as the No. 8 Owls finished second as a team at the Missouri Valley Invitational on Tuesday.
Sophomore Tom Doran trailed Smith by one shot in tying for third place with a 7-under 137 (69-68) as William Woods University recorded a 7-under 569 team total (290-279).
Junior Phillip Heller took sixth place with a 2-under 142 (74-68) for the Owls and senior Travis Reger was ninth with a 1-over 145 (72-73).
The Owls host the William Woods Fall Invitational next Monday and Tuesday at Tanglewood Golf Course.
