College volleyball: William Woods goes 1-3 at Columbia College tourney

COLUMBIA - The Lady Owls produced just one victory in their four matches at Columbia College's Hampton Inn Classic that wrapped up Saturday.

William Woods University (3-4) opened tournament play Friday by rallying for its lone win - 25-27, 25-22, 25-27, 25-23 and 15-8 over No. 15 The Master's (Calif.) University. The Lady Owls were then swept by Indiana Wesleyan 25-20, 25-17 and 25-17.

William Woods dropped both of its matches Saturday. The Lady Owls started with a 21-25, 25-16, 25-23 and 25-16 loss to MidAmerica (Kan.) Nazarene, then were swept by No. 14 Hastings (Neb.) College 25-13, 25-14 and 25-16.

Junior setter Remie Johnson combined for 83 assists for William Woods, while senior opposite Nise Salima totalled 30 kills. Senior libero Kayton Coffee posted 27 digs.

The Lady Owls host Baker (Kan.) University at 7 tonight at Anderson Arena.
