College men's soccer: Wisconsin-Whitewater 4, Westminster 0

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - The Blue Jays were outshot 17-12 by the Warhawks, including 7-6 in shots on goal, in falling to 0-2 after Sunday's loss.

Westminster College tallied a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.

The Blue Jays opened their season Friday with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Wartburg College Knights in Waverly, Iowa.

Westminster jumped out to a fast 2-0 lead behind goals from junior forward Patrick Wisnewski (4th minute) and junior defender Sam Heckart (13th minute). Wartburg battled back to tie the game and force overtime behind a pair of goals from Caleb Halleran (48th, 52nd minutes).

The Knights then prevailed on Kevin Duque's goal with 4 seconds left in the extra period.

The Blue Jays were easily outshot by Wartburg 22-8 overall, including 14-6 in shots on goal. The Knights also forged a commanding 13-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Westminster plays its home opener against Central (Iowa) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
