College women's golf: William Woods' Zrodowska ties for lead at NAIA championships

OKLAHOMA CITY - Freshman Maria Zrodowska shared the individual lead for the Lady Owls with a 1-under par 143 after Wednesday's second round at the 25th-annual NAIA national championships.

Zrodowska - who shot a 1-over 73 on Wednesday - was the only William Woods University player to make the cut and advance to today's third round at Lincoln Park Golf Course. The Lady Owls were in 25th place with a 320 total, missing the cut as a team.

The top 40 individuals and top 17 teams moved on to the third round.

Junior Lucy Matthews was tied for 76th with a 158 for William Woods after Wednesday's second round, while freshman Paige Hawkins was 132nd with a 169. Freshman Krystal Burgtorf was in 135th place with a 170 and senior Kelsey Moreland was 151st with a 180.
