Men's basketball: Hannibal-LaGrange 70, William Woods 56

HANNIBAL - The Owls had their five-game American Midwest Conference winning streak stopped in a 14-point loss to the Trojans on Thursday night.

William Woods University (8-6, 5-3 AMC) trailed 27-23 at halftime and was outscored by Hannibal-LaGrange University 43-33 in the second half.

Junior forward David Johnson Jr. finished with 14 points to lead three players in double figures for the Owls, who shot a feeble 31 percent (19-of-61) as a team. Junior guard Jessie Frost-Dixon added 11 points and junior guard Treshawn Gause contributed 10.

Frost-Dixon posted a double-double with 10 rebounds as William Woods was edged on the boards 41-39.

Tyrone Hueitt Jr. supplied a game-high 22 points for the Trojans (8-6, 6-3), who shot 42 percent (26-of-62) from the field. Brady Smith logged 19 points.

William Woods' men's-women's AMC home doubleheader against St. Louis College of Pharmacy was postponed Saturday because of the snowstorm. The games have been rescheduled for Tuesday night, starting at 5:30 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
