Women's Soccer: William Woods 3, Harris-Stowe State 2

ST. LOUIS - Freshman defender Abby Prather-Turner's goal in the 81st minute allowed the Lady Owls to increase their winning streak to six games with an AMC victory against the Lady Hornets on Saturday.

Sophomore forwards Colleen Bayer and Aurora Henriksen chipped in with goals for William Woods University (8-5-1, 6-1-1 American Midwest Conference). Harris-Stowe State University - which tied the game at 2-all with a goal in the 71st minute - slipped to 8-3-2 overall and 4-3-1 in the AMC.

The Lady Owls owned a 13-6 edge in overall shots, including 9-4 in shots on goal. William Woods also took all five of the game's corner kicks.

The Lady Owls host Williams Baptist (Arkansas) University in an AMC contest at 2 p.m. today at Firley Field.
