JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Lady Blue Jays took control with three second-half goals - two by senior midfielder Gracie Koonce and one from senior midfielder Heidi Gundy - in Saturday's SLIAC shutout of the Lady Highlanders.
Sophomore midfielder Cara Wilfong also supplied a goal as Westminster College (7-3-1, 3-1-0 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) picked up its third win in a row. MacMurray College fell to 3-8-0 on the season and 1-2-0 in the SLIAC.
The Lady Blue Jays easily outshot the Lady Highlanders 20-2, including 10-1 in shots on goal.
Westminster junior goalkeeper Sarah Cradick made the one save in being credited with the shutout.
The Lady Blue Jays finished with a commanding 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Westminster goes to St. Louis for a SLIAC contest against Fontbonne University at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
