The Blue Jays have been selected to come in second in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this season in the coaches' preseason poll.
Westminster College - which compiled 64 points in the poll - posted an 8-10-2 overall record in 2017 and a 5-3-1 mark in the SLIAC. The Blue Jays eventually captured their fifth straight SLIAC Tournament title, before falling to Wisconsin-Platteville 5-0 in the first round of the NCAA Division III national tournament.
Webster University was chosen to win the SLIAC regular-season championship in the poll. Westminster was followed by Fontbonne University in third place and Principia (Illinois) College fourth.
The Blue Jays kick off the 2018 season at North Central (Illinois) College on Friday, Aug. 31.
