ST. LOUIS - The William Woods University Owls fell to .500 after a close, overtime loss to the Spartans on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman forward Aurora Henriksen gave the Owls their only lead in the 18th minute off an assist from senior defender Kylie Roach.
The Owls would hold the lead until the second half, when senior Haylee Eastridge scored her first goal of the game in the 58th minute. In the overtime period Eastridge would strike again in the 97th minute to cap the Spartans' comeback effort.
The Owls will try to move back over .500 with a home contest against Hannibal-LaGrange at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
