College Volleyball: Westminster 3, Greenville (Ill.) 2

In a rematch of last year's SLIAC championship game, the host Westminster Lady Blue Jays rallied to hand the Greenville Lady Panthers their first loss of the season 15-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-22 and 15-7 on Wednesday night.

Westminster College ended a four-match losing streak in improving to 3-7 on the season and 2-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Greenville College slipped to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in the SLIAC.

Freshman middle blocker Natalie Needy paced the Lady Blue Jays with 14 kills, while freshman outside hitter Allie Kennebeck and sophomore middle hitter Elizabeth Kelley both had 12. Junior libero Bridget Ringwald logged a team-high 23 digs and sophomore setter Teresa Becker recorded a double-double with 44 assists and 18 digs.

Senior outside hitter Hannah Marshall added 11 digs for Westminster and Kennebeck contributed 10.

The Lady Blue Jays travel to St. Louis on Saturday for SLIAC matches against Spalding (Kentucky) College and Fontbonne University.
