ABILENE, TEXAS - The McMurry Warhawks (3-1) scored in the final three minutes to break the hearts of the Westminster Blue Jays Sunday afternoon.
Senior goalkeeper Raul Belman was solid during most of his 90 minutes of play, but with a chance to stop freshman forward Mazin Elhassan one-on-one he faltered and Elhassan punched in the game winning goal.
The two teams were in a deadlock all game and matched each other with 13 shots apiece and two corner kicks as well. Senior midfielder Mauricio Mateo lead the Blue Jays (1-2-1) with three shots.
Wesminster will return to action at home against Simpson at 4 p.m. Friday.
