Blue Jays cool off Inferno 9-0

MILWAUKEE - Freshman forward Natalie Schulte's two goals in the first half spearheaded an offensive avalanche as the Westminster College Blue Jays dominated Alverno 9-0 Sunday.

Schulte also led the team in points with eight as she notched four assists in the Blue Jays (2-1)' eight goal first half.

Freshman midfielder Isabel Peng scored for the first time in her career with two unassisted goals. Her first goal capped a 10-minute stretch in which the Blue Jays scored six consecutive.

Westminster's defense was equally suffocating as they didn't allow the Inferno (1-3) to even attempt a shot on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Emma Bergman received credit for the shutout.

The Blue Jays will return for a home contest at 6 p.m. Friday against Simpson.
