KANSAS CITY - The William Woods University Lady Owls soccer team has qualified for the NAIA national tournament for the first time since 2014.
William Woods (13-5-3) will face the University of Northwestern (Ohio) (17-2-1) at 1 p.m. Saturday in Lima, Ohio. The winner moves on to the national championship final site in Orange Beach, Florida.
The Lady Owls - who were 9-1-2 in the American Midwest Conference - clinched an automatic berth to the national tournament by the being the highest-remaining finisher in the conference championship. William Woods was downed by Columbia College 3-0 in the AMC title game Nov. 9 in Columbia.
