The WWU Lady Owls finished the regular season by sweeping the Lincoln Christian Lady Red Lions 25-15, 25-7 and 25-17 in a nonconference match Friday night at Anderson Arena.
Senior outside hitter Abby Ferguson finished with seven kills to direct William Woods University (25-8), which ended a two-match losing streak. Junior outside hitter Tory Wiley also supplied seven kills and freshman opposite player Kate Doerhoff had six.
Freshman defensive specialist Brooke Reed topped the Lady Owls with 22 kills and sophomore libero Jessica Jensen contributed nine. Senior setter Brittney Engelbrecht passed out 30 assists.
William Woods now waits to learn who its opponent will be in the quarterfinals of the American Midwest Conference postseason tournament Tuesday night.
