Volleyball: Park University 3, William Woods 0

The WWU Lady Owls wrapped up AMC play Wednesday night with a 25-15, 25-16 and 25-20 loss to the No. 9 Park University Lady Pirates at Anderson Arena.

The loss was the second in a row for William Woods University, which slipped to 24-8 overall and is in fourth place in the American Midwest Conference at 9-3. The Lady Owls have already clinched a berth in the conference postseason tournament.

First-place Park - winners of three in a row - improved to 26-3 on the season and 11-1 in the AMC.

Senior outside hitter Abby Ferguson and junior outside hitter Tory Wiley both had seven kills to pace the Lady Owls on Wednesday night. Sophomore libero Jessica Jensen posted a team-high 14 digs and freshman defensive specialist Brooke Reed provided 11, while senior setter Brittney Engelbrecht recorded 24 assists.

William Woods ends the regular season with a home match against Lincoln Christian (Illinois) University at 6 p.m. Friday.
