Women's Tennis: William Woods 7, Georgetown (Ky.) 2

MOBILE, Ala. - The WWU Lady Owls reached the second round of the NAIA national championships for the second straight year by tripping the Georgetown Lady Tigers in first-round play Tuesday.

William Woods University now advances to face San Diego Christian (California) at 1 p.m. today.

Amanda Moore/Lauren Fazenbaker (GC), 8-5; No. 3: sophomore Karyna Sagalai/sophomore Alba Salinas (WWU) def. Madelyn Kauffman/Abigail Kennedy (GC), 8-6.

No. 1 singles: Sagalai (WWU) def. Henry (GC), 6-3, 6-2; No. 2: Shuraeva (WWU) def. Fazenbaker (GC), 6-3, 7-6 (10-2); No. 3: Salinas (WWU) def. Moore (GC), 7-5, 6-1; No. 4: Steward (WWU) def.
